Lesson Activity - Wiring Series and Parallel Circuits

Grab your screwdriver, wirecutter/stripper, both LEDs, a wire nut, and your WorkBench with Load Center. Follow along with the video to practice stripping individual wires, using the screwdriver to attaching a wire to the screw terminal, and connecting the LEDs in series and parallel.

Your goals:

• Strip ¼ inch of the insulation from the LED wires
• Practice attach the wires screw terminals on the Load Center
• Create a Series Circuit with two LEDs and a wire nut
• Make a note of the LED brightness and remove one LED from the circuit
• Create a Parallel Circuit with two LEDs
• Make a note of the LED brightness and remove one LED from the circuit
• Compare and contrast the two circuits
• Once you feel comfortable with these skills, remove all connections and cut your cable clean to prepare for the next lesson!
