In this lesson, you will learn about how an outlet works and how an electrician wires outlets in a home. You’ll use the Betabox Electrician Foundations and Futures Hands-On Project Box to create a circuit with an outlet, as well as follow a circuit diagram to create a new circuit!

WARNING: DO NOT PLUG ANYTHING INTO THE KIT OUTLET!

The outlet included in the kit is wired for DC. Plugging any device into the outlet may cause permanent damage to the device. Only use the multimeter probes in the outlet, as demonstrated, during the testing procedure.
