Lesson Activity - Wiring and Programming a Smart Thermostat

In this activity, you follow the instructional video to connect, install, and test an IoT Smart Thermostat based on the ESP32 and Grove components.

Your goals:

• Using your Betabox Electrician Foundations and Futures Hands-On Project box and following best practices you learned in this course, create the smart thermostat circuit from the lesson activity video.
• Test the Smart Thermostat system to ensure functionality of:
• The measurement of temperature
• Is it accurate to your best knowledge?
• Does it update?
• The ability to set and activate a high-temperature threshold
• Can you change the threshold?
• Does the fan when that threshold is reached/surpassed? 

To connect to the ESP32 IoT device, the default SSID is ESP32_Smart_Hub and the password is 12345678

Check your kit or device, it may have a different SSID or Password that is specific to your kit!
