Task Management Cards: Loops

TASK MANAGEMENT CARDS

These cards will have a task, or action, to fulfill when a user activates it. At least one (1) Task Card must be played on your turn or else you perform a system reset and exchange all the Task Cards in your RAM, or hand, for five (5) new ones. Once a user has replenished their hand (after a system reset or after playing selected cards), their turn is over and play continues to the next user.

SPECIAL ICONS

A Task Card may have an icon indicating a player(s) can earn, swap, or lose the following:

LOOP CARDS

A loop is a repeatable action that ends on a set condition making it true or false. There are four types of Loop Cards: Rhyming, Tongue Twister, Alliteration, and Copycat.

RHYMING LOOP

For all players. Quickly go around the table, going to the left, and rhyme with the word on the card (one word at a time). If a user takes too long or says a non-rhyming word, then they have made a false statement and will lose a token or Task Card, depending on the prompt. The loop ends and the user who placed the card continues playing cards from their hand until their turn is over.

TONGUE TWISTER LOOP

For one player. Say a tongue twister as quickly as possible and repeat it a certain amount of times to earn a reward. If the user can successfully loop the phrase without making a mistake, they can claim the reward on the card for making a true statement. If the loop cannot be completed, the card is placed in the discard pile and the user continues their turn.

ALLITERATION LOOP

For all players. Draw an Alpha_Bit and follow the instructions on the card to make a word chain, going left around the table. All words must begin with the Alpha_Bit letter. For example, if the first user draws a B and starts the string with “boy”, then the next user repeats “boy” and adds another word, perhaps “balloon”. The string is now “boy balloon”. The next user repeats “boy balloon” and adds another word, making the string “boy balloon bear” and so on. Continue until a user ends the loop by making a false statement (by misremembering the order or taking too long) who then loses a token or Task Card.

COPYCAT LOOP

Play this card to either repeat the action of the last player (if tokens or cards were stolen) or if you want to attempt one of their challenges (regardless if they succeeded or failed) to earn a reward. Depending on the card, you can also make another player copy another’s action.
