Main Components of 3D Printers
Buildplate/Print Bed
The surface in which parts are made.
Extruder
Responsible for pulling and pushing the filament through the printhead
Printhead
There will typically be one print head on most printers but some more advanced units have two. This is known as a dual extrusion printer.
Controls
Used to select what file you want your printer to print as well as other settings and maintenance functions.
